Tuesday, August 31st, 2010We had the pleasure of decorating the arch way on top of Lewes Castle last weekend for a wedding ceremony. All the flowers were made into clusters that could be taken onto the reception to be used as favours. The flowers were romantic pinks and purples and were wired onto the rose bushes to add to the lovely country feeling on the venue. Beautiful sussex wedding flowers at a beautiful sussex wedding venue!

Great Ote Hall
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010The Vintage Flower House is proud to be of one of the recommended suppliers of Great Ote Hall. This beautiful family run wedding venue is set near the picturesque village of Wivelsfield, with lovely views of the south downs.
The beautiful house has been in the Goodwin family since 1530. Its immaculate gardens and the dramatic backdrop of the magnification house makes Great Ote Hall a perfect setting for marquee weddings.
The venue offers civil ceremonies in the house as well as humanists ceremonies on the lawn. For the reception the choices are endless. Carola and her team are very flexible and will try to accommodate your every need. Whether you want bouncy castles to fireworks the team at Great Ote Hall are more than happy to arrange it for you.
The venue is perfect if you want an English manor house, with a country garden feeling, a relaxed atmosphere with the ultimate ‘wow’ factor. Great Ote Hall is certainly a wonderful sussex wedding venue.

Wedding Flowers at Southlodge Hotel
Tuesday, August 17th, 2010
The Vintage Flower House had the pleasure of decorating the Gladstone suite at Southlodge Hotel over the weekend. The grand room was full of our stunning 100cm tall silver candelabras, with our beautiful vintage silver candle sticks. T-light holders and petals were positioned around the room to add to the romantic atmosphere, while seasonal pink and white blooms blossomed around the candlelight.

This time of year we are always really busy working on wedding flowers in Sussex. Last weekend we visited one of our favourite wedding venues in Sussex Ockenden Manor. The charming hotel is beautifully situated and offers guests a luxury getaway.
The Ockenden suite was filled with country purple and lilac flowers. Working with low cylinder vases we created dome shape displays using stocks, scabious, hydrangeas, Ocean Song roses, lavender and mint. The displays certainly bought a touch of the country setting into the reception room.
Farbridge Weddings
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

The Vintage Flower House had the pleasure of decorating Farbridge Barn in West Sussex over the weekend. The beautiful wedding venue is situated in West Dean, which is just outside Chichester and is truly idyllic. The staff are so friendly adding to the warm atmosphere.
Hydrangeas, peonies and roses were arranged in goldfish bowls and large balls of flowers were created on column vases. Beautiful flowers in a beautiful setting.
