Beautiful Bridal Jewellery at Wintersweet
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010
I remember when I got married I really wanted a piece of jewellery that I could wear on my wedding day and keep forever. I think there is something very special about a piece of bridal jewellery whether it is earrings, a necklace, a bracelet or a hair piece. But I found finding something completely unique and not mainstream a challenge.
Then I came across Wintersweet and my love for exquisite jewellery was increased!
Wintersweet is based in the picturesque village of Cuckfield West Sussex. When you walk into the shop you feel like you have stepped into a Parisian boutique. Beautiful Wintersweet is full of Ziio, Mirabelle, Maria Calderara and Tataborello jewellery. You will certainly be spoilt for choice, as I was. Rebecca and her team were more than happy to advise me on what would work best with my dress to ensure that I made the perfect choice.
Safe to say I was completely smitten with the shop. If you live too far from Cuckfield to make a visit check out their beautiful website www.wintersweet.co.uk. They ship to all over the world and the pictures are extremely clear of the products so you can see exactly what you will be buying.
So for bespoke bridal jewellery check out www.wintersweet.co.uk whether you are a bride or fancy treating yourself I am sure there is a stunning piece of jewellery waiting for you.
Wedding Flowers at Dorset House!
Thursday, April 15th, 2010One of the most exciting aspects we find in wedding work is colour schemes. We love it when brides’ and grooms’ come in for their first consultation, to discuss their wedding flowers and the colours that they want them to incorporate.
It is really exciting to work with so many colour themes and we have done a few! From classic whites to vintage pinks and even tropical infusions. But it is always very exciting when clients come in with a unique colour collaboration and last week we had a great one; classic whites, with luxurious purples and spectacular lime green.
Working with white ranunculus, lime green hydrangea and purple anemones was incredibly fun. The displays on the champagne saucers were elegant and sophisticated, while our vintage birdcages were bursting with colour.
Dorset House was full to the brim of lime, purple and whites and it certainly made an impact.
Colour is such an important part of any wedding. Although it might be elegant and slightly safe to stick with pure whites, different colour shades can certainly make your wedding stand out and become completely unique in it’s own right. So try experimenting with different colour calibrations for your big day and see which shades suit you.
On a separate note if you are looking for a barn where you can get married and have your reception look at Dorset House in West Sussex. The beautiful barn sits in the delightful grounds of Dorset House School in the idyllic village of Bury. The barn has beautiful gardens ideal for a drinks receptions and boasts beautiful views of the South Downs.
If you are looking for wedding flowers at Dorset House we are bustling with ideas to make your day completely unique.
Newick Park Wedding Flowers
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010Martinis’ at Newick Park!
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010
Newick Park was looking ever so fabulous on Saturday-despite the weather! The two beautiful reception rooms were full of our stunning 100cm tall Candelabras, combined with our Sex and the City Martini vases.
The whole wedding followed colours that are in Gustav Klimts’ painting; ‘The Kiss’. It was a beautiful theme and we certainly had fun with the colours. Using fuchsia pinks, with show stopping purples, with a hint of golden creams made the whole hotel feel very bright, fun and colourful!
