Bright and Bold!

Exotic BouquetAlthough perhaps the seasons are starting to change and autumn is coming upon us, the catwalks are still sizzling in colour. The October/November edition of Wedding Flower Magazine talks about the latest trend on the catwalks and it’s all about being bright and bold.

Fantastic vibrant orange, with shocking pinks and aluminous yellows. It’s all about stopping and taking notice.

Flower arrangements can certainly compliment this trend very nicely indeed. Cymbidium orchids are perfectly suited to this trend. Large stems of green, purple and yellow orchid heads can really add that sense of colour to any wedding. The heads can be removed from the stems and wired into bouquets or the whole stem can be used in large table displays to really give that colourful impact.

Dahlias also offer vibrant colour to any arrangement. From fuchsia pinks to hot oranges these flowers are great to give you that fashionable colour combo.

Or if its vibrant reds you are looking for with that exotic twist, why not try glorisia. These great flowers are so unusual and fun and really get people talking. Here we have combined them with Grand Prix red roses and mango calla lilies. Fantastic if you want your wedding flowers to be rich in colour.

Pangdean Barn

Candelabra at PangdeanWe did a lovely wedding at stunning Pangdean Barn last Saturday. The Barn and the staff were absolutely fantastic and the setting simply exquisite.

Nicky Currie and her team offer a brilliant service in an idyllic barn, perfectly situated in Pyecombe on the edge of the South Downs. If you are looking for that informal, but elegant venue Pangdean is definitely worth a look. With delicious food and wonderful staff Pangdean is certainly one of Sussex’s finest wedding venues.

Our candelabras seemed to work really well in barn too which was fantastic. The candle light, with the delicate clusters of flowers added to the romantic backdrop of the venue very nicely indeed.
