Spring and Summer Blooms

Well thank goodness that it is sunny today. I think everyone has had enough of the rain. Maybe it is because of the weather, but everyone at The Vintage Flower House seems to be in Summery mood!

So we started to think about all the beautiful blooms that will be coming into florist shops over the next few months.

Spring and Summer is so fantastic for flowers. With gorgeous scents, textures and fresh colours it is a truly beautiful time to get married or to just buy a bunch of seasonal blooms for your home. If you are looking for a fantastic scent to take your breath away look to gorgeous stocks. These lovely flowers will fill your house or wedding reception with a strong spring fragrance. If romance is what you are looking for treat yourselves to a bunch of perfect peonies. They may not look much when you buy them but as they unfold they will become, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful textured flowers there are.

Hydrangeas will also be entering our shops once again. There is a colour for everyone. From strong contemporary blues, to subtle whites and greens , to vintage pinks the hydrangea is a truly versatile flower and will work for any type of Spring/Summer wedding.

If you are getting married in the sunny months of this year try combining pastel shades with seasonal blooms to create a little piece of sunshine for your guests to remember.
